Gather your ingredients and get ready to prepare one of the most incredible treats you’ve ever had.

Ingredients

Marinade Ingredients

¼ cup apple cider vinegar
¼ cup whiskey (Jack Daniels would be great here)
3 tablespoons hot sauce (homemade, or your choice)
3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
2 large cloves garlic (crushed)
1 tablespoon coarse, black pepper
Olive oil cooking spray

You can make your own hot sauce before you make the marinade. Many people recommend using Frank’s Hot Sauce if you do not have time to make your own.

Wing Sauce Ingredients

5 tablespoons of herb-infused butter
4 cloves chopped garlic
¼ cup of whiskey
2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
⅓ cup hot sauce (homemade or your choice)
⅓ cup chicken stock

Directions

Making the Marinade

Create the marinade by combining the vinegar, whiskey, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and black pepper. Mix the ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
Place the wings in the bowl with the marinade and mix carefully and evenly.
Place the bowl in the refrigerator.
Marinate for at least an hour, but your wings will be more flavorful the longer you let them soak in the marinade. For best results, marinate the wings for up to 24 hours before you plan to make them.

Baking the Wings

When you are ready to make the wings, take them out of the refrigerator, and preheat the oven to 425°F.
Remove wings from marinade and dab off any excess marinade. Arrange the wings on a foil-lined baking sheet. Spray the actual wings with cooking spray.
Bake in the oven for 50-60 minutes. (When the skin becomes crispy, they are almost done.) While the wings are baking, get out your sauce ingredients and get to mixing.

Making the Infused Sauce

Melt the herb-infused butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Add chopped garlic and stir for 2 to 3 minutes.
Lower the heat so the sauce simmers.
Add the whiskey and stir.
Add the Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and chicken stock.
Let the sauce reduce for 2-3 minutes.

Coating the Wings with Infused Hot Sauce

When the wings are done, take them out of the oven. Place the wings in a large mixing bowl.
Pour in the sauce, and gently toss the wings in order to coat them evenly. Avoid using utensils that might remove the meat from the bones in the tossing process. It may be best to use your hands to mix them.
Now you are ready to arrange the wings on a platter or individual plates. Serve them with carrots, celery, and/or blue cheese dressing. These items are traditionally served with wings, and the carrots, celery, and blue cheese add a refreshing element that contrasts with the heat of the wing sauce.
