French toast is usually a crowd-pleaser on its own: sizzling butter, mouthwatering maple syrup, crispy toasted crusts. But what if you tweaked a few ingredients to make it… dare we say… healthy? This vegan, gluten-free, cinnamon, maple butter french toast spin-off will leave you speechless and full of that healthy, “New Year, New Me” energy.


Cinnamon Maple butter:

  • 1 stick vegan butter
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup

French Toast:

  • 2 slices gluten free bread
  • 3/4 cup almond milk
  • 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp cinnamon maple butter

LĒVO Prep:

Start by breaking up cinnamon sticks and placing them into the herb pod.

Place into the machine.

Add in butter, close lid and set machine to infusion cycle to 170F for 1 hour.

Once finished dispense into a jar and add in maple syrup.

Continue to stir so the maple syrup doesn’t settle.

Let form in the fridge for about 20 minutes before using.


Add almond milk, flaxseed, maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla extract into a large shallow bowl.

Mix well and dip bread into mixture, let soak on each side for about 3 minutes.

Heat up 1 Tbsp of Cinnamon Maple Butter in a large skillet.

Add bread onto skillet and cook on each side for 5 minutes or until browned.

Remove from heat and top with more cinnamon maple butter and fresh fruit.
